MEET THE TEAM

Hi, I'm Alex. I'm a jewellery designer who is lucky enough to live in the beautiful county of Cornwall with my family, living and earning and learning by the sea.

Living in Cornwall with my partner and our children is a huge influence on my unique pieces, from the dramatic coastline to the bleak and beautiful moorland; the contrasts of scenery can inspire different moods and visions which can be seen throughout my art. Themes in my work are drawn from the nature, storytelling, legend and the often hidden worlds of the county. Cornwall also provides inspiration for raw materials, both from the earth and washed up on the beaches we visit.

My interest in jewellery making began in my 20s and developed out of a love for art and architecture, but felt I had a lot more to learn and went back to education gaining a BA in Jewellery Design and Silversmithing as well as certificate in Gemmology. Armed with new knowledge and experience I became a full-time jeweller in late 2020.

I use a variety of techniques, both new and old, to handcraft unique and individual pieces from common materials to the weird, wonderful and luxurious. With rustic beach finds cozying up to brilliant precious gemstones.
