RING AND FINGER SIZING
If you are working out your own ring size it's advisable to visit a high street jeweller which offers a finger sizing service as this will give you the most accurate sizes. Bear in mind that finger sizing can be fickle and lots of factors can affect your finger size - from humidity to hydration. Most people also find that their finger size changes during the course of the day and it's important to find the best compromise, particularly for a ring that will be worn all the time.
There are also various inexpensive plastic and cardboard ring sizer options you can buy and use at home at different times of the day to get an accurate size. We offer an eco-friendly cardboard finger sizer for a small charge which will then be deducted from the purchase price if you go on to buy from us. You can grab one here!

If you're working out someone else's ring size for a gift, the most reliable method is to take a ring they own (and wear on the right finger!) to a high street jeweller who can take a size measurement from the ring. One thing to bear in mind is that there are two conventions for reading a ring size from a ring stick and it's worth asking the jeweller which one they use. 'Leading edge' measurements are taken from the edge of the ring at the highest point on the gauge and 'center' measurements are taken from where the center point of the ring's width rests on the gauge. We use 'leading edge' measurements.
With both finger and ring sizing another factor to bear in mind is the width of the band you are planning to buy or commission. If you are looking for a band that's substantially wider that the finger sizer (metal, plastic or cardboard version) then it would be advisable to step up a size as the wider the band, the tighter it will fit. Likewise when taking a ring to be sized, if it's significantly wider or narrower than the one you plan to buy then it might be a good idea to go down or up a size respectively.

Another alternative method for working out your ring size or someone else's is to measure the inner diameter of a ring and send it to us and we'll work out the size for you! It's not the most reliable method but adequate for standard width and adjustable rings.

BANGLE AND HAND SIZING
Bangles sizes are measured in much the same way as rings, except that you want to measure around the widest part of your hand so that the bangle will just slip on but not fall off accidentally. High street jewellers will often have bangle sizing rings and offer this as a service, or you can also do it fairly easily at home. To measure, press your thumb to your little finger and with the other hand wrap a tape measure or piece of string around your hand. This will give you the inner circumference of your bangle which we can use to work out your bangle size.
NECKLACE LENGTHS
Necklace length is a personal preference but generally speaking when there is a pendant attached it looks more balanced to have it strung on a longer chain. Body type and build also contribute to the look of a necklace and the same chain length will hang at different points on different body sizes.
